so, after reading friend lance's latest post about personality testing
i decided to go and retest myself...

4 times later, it turns out i am 2 times ENFJ and 2 times INFJ
which probably explains quite a bit about why i sometimes like some people
and other times don' all depends on whether i am currently
introverted or currently extroverted.

then i decided to go retest my IQ, cause sometimes i'm fairly convinced i'm dumb...
but i'm 136, which is not too stupid? ^^;
ah to be gifted though, that'd be nice...

at any rate, i had a reasonably nice weekend in which i watched a live show
of bellydancers, and then went and gamed on sunday. oh, and i made a vat of chili...
exciting eh? ^_^

That's a good score, actually. It's all semantics, but in the terminology I've heard 130 is the cutoff for "gifted" and above 140 is genius. 100 is, by definition, the population average.

You're a smart cookie.

The bellydancers kicked ass, and so did the chili.

well, i tried to find a test that didn't ask questions that couldn't be answered if you didn't have historic knowledge...
for instance, i found a test where the first question was
"who was the 16th president of the united states?"
i mean come on...

so i prefer an iq test that asks questions that can be answered regardless of schooling...if that makes any sense?

i'm reasonably intelligent? and mostly retarded... ^^;

ah, i went back and looked at the previous results of an iq test i took about 5 years ago, i was 140 in that one...but i had a post right before it, in which i'd taken two other iq tests and they'd respectively come to 114 and 126.

they were more like SAT tests than IQ tests...

so yup, test my intelligence based on things that require figuring and i'm sma-ht, base them off things you learn in school and i'm not so sma-ht? ^^

the figuring tests are more accurate.

really? that actually makes me feel better about it ^_^'

and also, means i'm not entirely wrong about the schoolin' iq tests being kinda unfair...since they require previously acquired knowledge...

exactly. That's why reasoning matters more. Good test will probe your intellect without relying heavily upon whether or not you've already been exposed to particular facts.

i always did wonder what tests they would use to say, iq test a bushman who's never been anywhere near a conventional school.

That might be tough to do well ; )

first off mmmm Chili....

Where did you find the personality tests? I have never actually taken one.

An IQ of 136 is just under genius if memory serves me right so that isn't bad.
